JIN NOH
Founder & Principal
Jin has over 12 years of experience in the utility/energy, regulatory, and technology industries. Most recently, Jin led business development for North America as the Director of Business Development & Policy at Malta Inc., a startup commercializing a long-duration energy storage (LDES) power plant using pumped heat energy storage technology. This involved developing go-to-market analysis and strategies for Malta's unique non-lithium LDES technology, as well as working with various utility and developer customers as potential off-takers and partners, respectively.

Prior to Malta, Jin managed and oversaw policy and regulatory affairs for the California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA), serving roles as the Policy Director and Interim Executive Director over an 8-year period (2015-2022). In these roles, Jin led and worked on wholesale market design, interconnection policy, integrated resource and infrastructure planning, capacity valuation, virtual power plant policies and programs, and contracting and procurement of energy storage and distributed energy resources (DERs). Jin also co-founded the Vehicle Grid Integration Council (VGIC) and previously worked at SRI International to provide consulting services on technology commercialization, innovation policy, and economic development.
Jin holds a Master's of Public Policy (MPP) from the Goldman School of Public Policy at University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelors in Public Policy and Economics from Duke University.
